The electric motor is a much simpler ,more reliable and more efficient way of converting the energy it uses , it doesn't require exhaust systems, catalytic converters, timing belts , carburetors, gearboxes, oil changes,clutches and even offers one pedal drving that reduces brake pad wear.
But the real clincher IMO is it gives options on your fuel source , it doesn't have to come totally from the grid ( but even grid power has a component of renewable energy, quite large in some countries and growing), for commuter driving it can be charged or part charged at home by solar systems combined with power storage systems, turning your roof or backyard into a fuel station. The car itself can become a mobile power source.

One of the main reservations has been range, thats rapidly becoming a non issue for the majority of day to day use , the charging network is increasing as is the speed of charging. The other main reservation is price and that's a harder nut to crack but it almost certainly will be over time. Most of us don't buy new cars anyway.
There are also recycling and mining considerations, electric mining equipment is already in use and growing recycling is being tackled.

The bottom line is EV's are coming for the above reasons and many more, we have a huge nuclear power station in the sky and combined with technology ( photovoltaic and wind) its time to start making more use out of it. For those who love ICE vehicles dont despair they will be around for a long time during the transition. Even in Norway where more than 80% of new car sales are BEV's the only make up 25% of the total car fleet as existing ICE vehicle owners run their cars into the ground

Anyway all this is good for CXO and if we can also be a part of reducing emissions then its a win win...

The range is on the way to rectified. 1st generation is the EV I ordered,First EV designed as EV. All others has standard car body. 1600 Km range and where I live don have to charge it as I will leave parked outside where it is sunny and it charges itself,70 Km a day. Efficient A/C that has cooling channels in the paneling as well as in the air.
