So you might ask ....... "Well, why does a broker publish a report on a stock anyway .....why do they do that? "

So you might say they do that because ..................

1. Sell recommendation ....The broker is very concerned that that you as a shareholder might be holding a stock that is really bad and he / she are extremely concerned that you are making a bad decision by holding that stock and they feel incredibly obligated
to warn you before it is too late.

2 Buy recommendation The broker, even though he/she has not ever met you, feels an overwhelming sense of duty to inform you and everybody else that a particular company, if you invest in it now, has a share price that will just keep rising because he /she has done their due diligence and they won't rest till you accept their advice ,buy the stock, and become very rich.

or 3. The broker (investment Bank) could not give 2 F.........ks about you or anyone else for that matter but wants to influence you to think and act in a particular direction /way, in order to satisfy their agenda .

Before you decide I would remind you all that just prior to the GFC, Investment banks were paying rating agencies huge sums of money to give the toxic mortgage packages that they held a "AAA" rating on the understanding that if they did not, well, they would simply go down the road to a rating agency that would.
