Here's the problem ,Gs predicted $1 based on LCE price of $11-$12k/ t in 2024. What year is it now??? Yes it's 2022... Laugh
Livent can't produce LCE for under $14k/t. Gs price is completely misleading.
The world EOMs have announced in 2025 they will be producing EVs and hybrids. That's only 3 years away but in reality there it's only 2years. What many people don't realise is it takes 12 months from mine to battery. Early 2025 EV and hybrid models require LCE produced end of 2023 early 2024. Cxo is the only new mine coming on line in 2023. There will be a shortfall of 30%- 50% LCE production vs demand in 2023. Where do you think production will be coming from??? If the Chinese can use lepidolite why then are they buying Aussie spod and Argentina's LCE??? It's because their mines are useless for batteries. The pls auction got a price of $8000plus/t. Says alot about the Chinese mines doesn't it???

2023 will be another year of LCE deficit. And 2024 and 2025 when all EOMs will be competing to sell EVs and hybrids.
Simple maths. Pls auction $8k/t.
If cxo get $4k/t at 174kt( target production) per year. 4000 ×175000= $700m US. Xe $1b aud/year.

cxo has $120m added to the bank. $100m (cr) + $20m Dso. And going into production in weeks. No cash problem here.
Increase your holding when/where you can, without stress. LCE production will struggle to keep up with demand 2023 and 2024, reasons above.
