EV cars are expensive , for mass adoption the battery costs need to come down. Rising cost of living plus global recession will make these cars look out of reach for many in 2023.
BNEF expects battery price to start dropping again in 2024, when lithium prices are expected to ease as more extraction and refining capacity comes online.
