Avz - this is just my take...for me it depends on how much I'm buying or selling plus other reasons - I use both but mostly place an order at the price I like and then wait. For my SMSF I often buy at market even if it's costing me a bit more because super is LT and prefer not to miss out on a trade because of half a tick. For stock with little liquidity it can be more tricky. This is not advice just sharing my thoughts about it all.
