Honestly that makes more sense to me than any alternative. The market (especially with shorts so high and a big retail vs institutional holding) is pretty irrational at the best of times... So I get why GM might be waiting till all the ducks are lined up before releasing certain anns. I mean LTR released an update and got smashed because people read things into it (a CR) that just weren't justified. Sure it's recovered well but they're in a different position altogether and also very undervalued if you believe in the fundamentals.
And those fundamentals (which are more provable in the short term for Core) are exactly (IMO) what's going to send this thing very north when whatever that bigger picture is that GM has in mind, is at the right point. Like oilman01 and Jase71 just said, those numbers paint a very different picture for our SP than what we're seeing. And I can't see any reason why in time those numbers won't do exactly for us what they are for PLS etc.
