Thanks whiskey1 for the pictures,indeed there is a reasonable amount of surface water about ,this is to be expected given that it is the wet season in Darwin (average rainfall dec is around 250mm)full credit to CXO for being able to continue to mine under these conditions.Then to have a section of pit wall slip (main ramp area I believe)The mining contractor (Lucas)have done a fantastic job of minimising delays and been able to pre strip this area (slip site) and keep the ore coming out of the pit,I believe this area was to be part of stage 2 anyway so it was always going to be part of main pit(just a bit earlier than expected)It looks to me that that area has more ore than waste (in picture)Then to be able to continue to maintain mining operations throughout January (390mm rainfall) is a great accomplishment.Sure there would be some delays but be anticipated given that they are mining in the wet season ,to be largely on track(quarterly report) .I expect much the same in February (still wet) and then progress picking up after this (all things being equal)DMS is on track for commissioning (quarterly) some sa





y could be early February,if so that is a excellent achievement in it self.However I do not know how much ore is on ROM at the moment (anyone?)I would say if they have continued to mine most days,pre strip,move waste and ore it would be a reasonable amount.
