    it's a legal requirement to have their own weather station (i could be wrong on that so happy to be proven otherwise)
    Pretty sure any prospective mining companies have to have 2 or three years of weather data as part of development application for the area they want to mine.
    point being they would have risked profiled worse case scenarios for sure , if not they are fkn stupid
