They had a government that was backing them in a stable country, got the mine up and running and are producing Spod less then 100km from the closest port in australia to Asia.

They drilled last year and increased resource 63%. They are drilling more this year without the need for a CR as they are printing cash. Safe the say the resource will keep growing.

They also have two minnow on their border that are hoping to hit a decent resource and then sell to CXO, win/win for both. No point waiting until you have 100+mT @1.3% and trying to deliver a mine with 20+ other developers. Just get producing, get a war chest and be comfortable that you will find enough in the next few years without having to CR.

CXO has a lot going for it, but also pretty easy to make it look average from spreadsheet engineers. This will change.

Personally I am worried re the closeness to Asia. Selling to only one country may be a winner but it may also be better to diversify. Time will tell.
