5 days ago Madeleine King announced the Federal Governments second tranche winners of grants worth $50m to support the critical mineral strategy of Australia which will be officially announced shortly . Among some of the recipients just to name a couple were ASM, IG6 (graphite) IGO and EGR.An article in Mining Weekly is worth a read and for me reading between the lines the biggest and best headlines are still to come with the Association of Mining and Exploration Companies CEO Warren Pearce stating it to be a good first step but much more is needed for Australia to get up to speed with the US funding.
