You say trouble, I say it's just part of a new mine start-up.
We saw this at GXY with Mt Cattlin and with PLS at Pilgangoora (both plants) to name the most recent new operations in Oz - I haven't mentioned Alita or LTR which both faced/ are facing their own start-up challenges.
I don't necessarily believe CXO will be taken over. I do believe there is the potential for either a merger or joint venture with parties unknown that could unlock significant value in CXO. My most preferred option would be for CXO to partner with an Indonesian-linked entity to supply battery materials (value added lithium chemicals from Finiss) to a new Tesla plant in Indonesia or Malaysia. Then we will be valued on a more reasonable basis (than we currently are).
