Correct me if I’m wrong, isn’t Grant’s ore body supposed to have a mine life of 8-10 years?
If so, Grants should run out of ore in around 2033.
Ive seen some posts saying Grants could run out of ore by 2025, how is that possible?
If Grants has a mine life of 10 years (and we just started mining it this year) then what’s with the mad rush to transition to BP33 in 2025??
And just another thought, maybe there’s way more fines than expected during the last 14 weeks of production because Grants pit was completely flooded recently, and there was collapsing mine walls at grants due to the heavy rain they encountered, IMO this would cause more dirt/rock to gather above the ore body maybe therefor causing the increased fines? Therefor if they don’t get another massive flood event in the pit and the walls don’t collapse again then the ore mined going forward should be more pure and less contaminated with crap, the fines should then reduce significantly going forward I can only imagine?
