Now, now.... I gave no advice. I simply stated what I have done. I sold my materials/ resource stocks only but kept other investments.
Let me be clear, we have been through this before. Read my previous posts regarding the events of 2018.
My actions support my belief that the market for resource facing stocks will get worse before it gets better. I am simply protecting my capital. I will reallocate resources and even buy back when the time is right. I may not get it perfectly right (note I booked a sizeable loss on CXO) but I will redeploy capital as required to ensure I get some level of performance (rather than sit on paper losses for 18 months or more).
I don't recommend or expect anyone to act on my musings. They are simply that - my thoughts only.
