Is it just me, or does anyone else think the West is going to unilaterally impose huge tariffs on Chinese EVs? Chinese cars are just too good and too cheap. Western automobile companies did nothing to transistion to new energy, nor reduce emissions.

Whilst I think all western automobile companies should be punished for not reducing emissions or adopting new technologies, I think geopolitics will prevail and western governments will protect existing automobile companies.

I bet these tariffs will come into effect from 2025. Next year the penny will drop for western government, as China will take a big slice of the automobile market, as consumers switch to EVs.
