No advice, but a few points:

- we have no idea as to whether your PAPER loss is a significant amount (i.e. $100K) or a small amount ($1k).
- do you need the money urgently, or can you ride this out and hope things turnaround?
- have you made a capital gain this financial year whereby you could use the loss from CXO to offset this gain?
- what is your risk appetite for investing in the sharemarket? are you keen in investing in companies that deliver dividends (some even fully franked).

No need to answer these questions on here, but try to answer these questions yourself, or if you are still unsure as to what to do, seek professional advice from a person like an accountant or a financial advisor.
