There is white gold at the bottom of the Grants pit. Huge expense to get there, but now there the costs of getting the remaining 1.4Mt out are low. The mining restart will happen. The unknown is whether Core restarts the mining to keep the DMS running the whole time, or continues to pause the restart targeting even higher Spod prices like US$2,000/t to make even larger profits? Do Core and a contractor (Lucas?) blitz the mining and get a ROM pile of to over 1Mt, or is it mined it more slowly? Do Core get BP33 running and use this remaining cheap ore for periods when some really low prices are needed or if BP33 hits temporary production issues?

I'm sure many of you will have either tried gold panning or seen video's of it. There's a lot of early work washing away the waste material that you start with. Layer by layer you wash away dirt/rock and can't see much if any gold when doing this just time and effort for at that stage no reward. Its only just at the very end that you can with any luck see the gold. Zara would appear to be the sort that can't see the gold towards the end so tosses the whole pan out and starts again. After a few attempts and no gold, she will declare that there is no gold there. She will then proclaim to anyone who will listen that there is no gold in that location, its a waste of time looking there, try some other location (or bringing this back to Core, other company). All the time, the gold is there just waiting to be found by those with the correct skills to find it.

Reworking AL828 graphic slightly. Core has paid the expense to get the mine down to the white gold dollars. Now they just use the solid rock of the lower levels for steep walls and progressively lower depths to take out lots of ore with not much more waste rock needing to be moved. Hugely profitable mining from this point forward. Hugely expensive to take all the top waste rock (and a bit of ore) out to get to this point.
