Your not very good at thinking then
#1 Grants is potentially the quickest and lowest incremental capital hard rock lithium mine in the world between its current state and producing ore with retrievable ore within metres of the current mining surface which can then be supplied to a constructed and working DMS plant for >60% recoveries.
#2 Finniss is among the closest hard rock lithium operations to port in the world. Others of similar distance include Wodgina, Greenbushes, PLS and Atlantic
#3 While smaller and subject to change, Core has five of the ten highest Grade JORC resource deposits in Australia. The top 10 are:#4 Most of the waste rock to recover the remaining open pit retrievable ore at Grants has been removed.
- Mt Holland 189Mt @ 1.53%
- BP33 10.5Mt @ 1.53%
- Greenbushes 360Mt @ 1.50%
- Mt Marion 51.4Mt @ 1.45%
- Grants 2.3Mt @ 1.45%
- LPM 4.1Mt @ 1.43%
- Ah Hoy 4.6Mt @ 1.31%
- Kathleen Valley 156Mt @ 1.3%
- Carlton 6.3Mt @ 1.3%
- Penfolds 1.4Mt @ 1.24%
#5 With the addition of a flotation plant, Finniss project recoveries are likely to be into the 70% and possibly even low 80%'s.
#6 Economical reuse of facilities - After Grants, the DMS can be used by BP33, Carlton and Ah Hoy ore as all these deposits remain close to the concentrator. The side wall of Grants pit is reused as a substitute for a Carlton box cut. The bottom of Grants pit is reused as overflow water storage.
#7 Core has no debt and a strong cash balance. With known half year accruals the cash balance is likely to have fallen but was $124.8m at Dec 2023.
#8 Despite cutting costs, Core has continued to finalise the BP33 and Carlton feasibility studies. If these studies weren't shaping up as being economic, they almost certainly would have been shelved as a cost cutting exercise.
#9 Significant above mine entrance works have been completed for BP33 reducing the cost and timeframe of bring BP33 UG operations into production.
#10 The product that Core is producing has among the highest recent historical growth rates of any metal being mined and has among the highest demand growth rate forecasts of any metal/mineral.
Sure there's a few issues to addressed, but there's also a lot of strengths.
