    You are correct there are soil anomalies everywhere. Some of them are even on ground that has an increased likelihood of being a big deposit such as actually being located on WA greenstone tenements. A soil anomaly is however not a deposit. While it may become a commercial find, the vast majority of elevated soils don't lead to the definition of a lithium JORC resource.

    Some lithium in soils relate to leached mineralisation from somewhere else that has then been transported to that location. If this is the case it doesn't help tell you about the underlying ground geology at that location, just there's a nearby source. I'll leave you to be the judge, but those elevated soils in their announcement look to be closely aligned to the locations where waterways are travelling. This company link to another company (not Core) is also cash strapped entity ($0.8m of cash at Dec 2023 and $0.9m of trade and other payables) which is not a good sign and can prompt less than desirable behaviour. Beware out there, there are some dodgy players in the lithium space.

    I would call them a penny stock, but they don't even deserve that title with a share price of half a cent.
