Number 2 man of China Premier Li Qiang & his entourage visited the new Kwinana Lithium Plant owned by Chinese company Tianqi Lithium yesterday, the plant is 5kms from my office and it was a big deal on the ground & in the air.
The premier watched lithium hydroxide being packed in a Tianqi warehouse, the Chinese want our lithium, and they are getting it.
Mr. Li Qiang has released plenty of info so far on tour, but this was in particular significant - "He hoped Australia would "foster a fair", just and non-discriminatory environment for Chinese businesses and actively expand co-operation in renewable power generation and electric vehicles."
Yes, he referenced electric vehicles!!
For those people that still have doubt about the evolution of motor vehicles they may need to reassess their opinion & position and replan their future as momentum is building and it wont be that long before it manifests itself into lithium pricing as the cycle finally starts to turn in conjunction with demand.
My opinion.
