That's the golden question.. but trying to predict future prices.. well I guess that's what's got us in the situation we are in.
I find it best to stick to the announcements.
The problem of course the announcement you're referring to is the price of 6% in US dollars..
CXO unfortunately are producing a much lower grade. If you go by the latest quarterly figures - *Quote:Spodumene concentrate of 10,199t at 4.8% grade was sold at an average realised price of US$648/t6. The realised price was 54% lower than the prior quarter, reflecting the decline in the price of spodumene concentrate during the quarter.
* another extremely important fact that I notice is not being discussed is the fact that now that we are not supplying lithium as per contract we are now liable to be paying 10% (I'm not sure of this figure but this is my understanding) of current price for lithium not supplied and purchase from other vendors.
I would like to hear more from more knowledgeable investors on the exact breakdown and payments required moving forward on lithium not reaching the contracted supply amounts.
