2024 isn't finished yet so we don't know where Li will end up but I think we can probably agree it'll continue swirling the toilet. Over the last decade when lithium has been the laggard it has been close to best performing commodity on a percentage basis in subsequent years (year 1 or 2).
Claude.ai gives 80% probability this will again be the case based a decade of price performance relative to other commodities and frankly speaking, given analysts have been predicting a supply deficit in copper every year single year since 2016, I put little faith in their ability to predict lithium supply/demand dynamics just the same.
