I can't help but think that once CXO is making money, the mcap is going to go a lot higher than it is now. Not many companies suddenly hit production and just stop increasing in value, if anything, once they have money in the bank they are able to take on other projects that they previously didn't have the funds for. They have already hinted at new acquisitions in the last presentation.
We are in the enviable position of having many secondary projects that we have continued to pay leasing fees for and that could end up being great profit generators. While I suspect many will never be commercialised by CXO, there are a few with plenty of upside that might just be waiting for money before they progress with them.
I've also been thinking on the gold, which is the big unknown at the moment. Assuming we get decent results are people thinking they will sell it? IPO? JV? Develop it themselves?
