a poster in another thread, with a legal back ground, talked about shorting, while technically not illegal, manipuation of a share price is.
and the legal issue is drawing a link between the two..., shorting does produce a manipulation.
about 6 months ago i read where insto, super funds, and promise not to short may more.... of course i did not believe what they said, and saying so would lead to better opportunities to do so.
think the VUL article or a link to that , did mention that the report said Capital would make alot if the price was lower.... do they leave themselves open to being sued? as apparently they were not too good on the facts.
