I planned to retire 2 years ago when I was 68 but kept wfh during Covid - what else was there to do?
Downsized our property in Victoria and moved to Tassie last year , meant I could put 300k into super with the “one time downsize option”. My share portfolio is split between SMSF and personal investment and then some cash . Currently working part-time until July when I will retire. Will push as much into super as I can. Aiming to live off tax-free super , then personal investment income (dividends) - trying not to trigger cgt or try to transfer some into super ( there are limits at my age).
CXO and my other Li investments will be delivering dividends 2024 onwards big time.
Getting the pension would be nice after paying tax since 1974 on principle, but I don’t need it , some else will.
