While I love the Rivian R1T, the other poster you speak of is spinning stories. The Rivian cannot even be ordered in Australia. Secondly, a standard 200w solar blanket will take about a year to charge the 180kw battery in the long range R1T. There’s a lot of YouTube videos regarding the range limitations while towing. The best you can expect while towing a caravan is about 200km. At this stage, what you have described is totally unachievable.
The best outdoor enthusiasts can hope for is that Rivian will expand its Adventure Network, akin to what they are doing in the US and Canada. This is where they have installed EV chargers in remote locations such as Moab, Death Valley, Yosemite, Yukon, etc. Until then, long range off-road EV use is a pipe dream.
