Personally I see the continued build-out of EV charging networks as the key, along with faster charging.
Take Melbourne city, there's barely a spot in the mid-inner city area where there isn't a charger within 5km. Frequently its <2km away. As the number of EV's builds, this map will become even more cluttered with every suburb having a fast charger somewhere.
However if you go up north to the NT, just over 50 in the entire state. I can see why Jeff still thinks a 1,000km car would be a game changer. I don't think he's a big city boy!!
