There is alot of testing and development of Vanadium Redox batteries for grid storage as it is more suited for this purpose and testing has shown it can cycle 4 times more than lithium ion batteries ( Testing is still ongoing and may be more).

VRFBs have a lifespan of 20+ years
VRFBs offer immediate energy release
VRFBs are suitable for grid connection or off-grid settings - ideal for renewable energy
VRFBs can discharge 100%, without any damage to the battery
VRFBs are non-flammablePower and energy can be scaled independently
Vanadium electrolyte can be re-used and does not need to be disposed of
The batteries can be cycled more than once per day
They use only one element in electrolyte - V2O5VRFB energy storage guarantees uninterrupted power supply

Vanadium can be used to make steel alloys, for use in space vehicles, nuclear reactors , wind turbines and aircraft carriers, etc. Vanadium steel alloys' strength means that they are perfectly suited to the creation of tools, axels, piston rods and as girders in construction.

This combined with Uranium ( at a higher price ) could make this a viable resource as there is slightly more vanadium than Uranium and would make this a valuable by-product.
