As an aside, over the last couple of days Musk has done a twitter poll to asking if he should sell 10% of his Tesla shares and promising to abide by the vote. At this point the vote is a yes, so that may bring Tesla shares down a bit next week. Obviously he is unlikely to sell them in one hit, so that when that is realised it will probably bounce back. My guess is he has something for which he wants the money and this was a good way to do it without looking like he is abandoning Tesla, while looking like he is just listening to the social justice warrior complaints about billionaires not paying taxes because of their unrealised capital gains.
