There is a key characteristic of the potential AZS Li deposit at Andover which will be important. Given the pegmatite outcrops are so prolific and many are BIG (ie up to 1.2km and 200 m wide) and in AZS words are ‘heavily mineralised’ extracting the ore will be from the surface and lots of it from surface. That will, all other things being equal (eg met testing, water, etc), mean extracting the ore will be cheaper than other Li mines ie lower cost.
