Under the Jorc compliance protocols, it can often take a good geologist one/two days to interpret and draft up maps/cross sections/assays results and those wretched compliance tables at the back
That draft then needs to be circulated and checked/signed off by a director (some of whom in WC8 case may be in London currently)
The ASX doesn’t take kindly to companies going into trading halts for future ‘immaterial’ results (and you don’t know if material, or immaterial until plotted out and fully interpreted).
If things happened as you interpret the rules, every second mining explorer would be in a ‘halt’
in reality, results do/can be internalised for a few days whilst reporting is drafted.
Friday a good time receive assays, as they get the weekend to draft.
