i am in exactly the same camp as you philosophically
if journalists were good predictors of market trends, they certainly wouldn’t be working as journalists on a paupers pay packet.
History has shown us that the really smart money takes a medium term counter cyclical view on whatever the journalists and retail day traders are thinking/doing, particularly when they are trying to sell media articles with a bearish stance.
The Chinese (who I think are the shrewdest traders in the world) love to manipulate markets to suit their own longer term positioning, and I have no doubt that the recent correction in the lithium prices is more to do with tempering prices to lock in longer term off take contracts with the existing hard rock lithium producers (like Pilbara) who had been over promoting future price expectations.
From what I’m hearing … they (the Chinese) have very recently won some nice concessions with a couple of these groups (including Pilbara)
I personally have every confidence that Wildcat hosts a future tier1 lithium asset that can be developed faster than any others in Australia of similar size and quality.
