The wealthy have many other entities that they can invest in, like the proprietary companies where it is accepted that u buy ur voting power by the amount u invest.
There aren’t to many sharemarket type entities were the mum and dad investors can partake and supposedly have an effective say in how a company is run.
My understanding is that the reward for larger investors used to be based on the amount of their investment and not being privy to extra votes.
