Look at what has happened since the "bid" (aka opportunistic attempt to wrench ORG from our hands):
- ORG made more half year profit and paid out a bigger ff div than anyone expected
- Oil price (and hence linked LNG) price has since risen
- retail business good and growing
- Octopus/Kraken is shooting the lights out (and seems to have a huge trajectory for growth)
- export gas will not be confiscated by Aust govt for local needs
- Eraring will probably get life extension, and NSW govt will probably assist this with $$ to keep the lights on
- NSW govt also seems to be helping with coal purchase costs
- rest of business including the "greening" parts is doing well

I think that we shareholders need a lot more ambition than hoping for breakup or takeover!
