Back a couple of decades ago , The food production factory where i worked had to pass an inspection by the relevant authority every year, a fail meant that the inspector had to come back and reinspect the factory once the offending issue was fixed, and this re-inspection cost the factory a reasonable amount of cash. If the inspector picked out an expensive problem that might cost tens of thousands of $ to fix then the profit took a largish hit for the year. The CEO had me leave a small easy and cheap to fix problem in plain view, so the inspector got his second visit (and hence more dollars for his organisation) and we got approved with minimal expense. I'm not saying that anyone at msb would do that, but I'm wondering if the FDA would benefit financially from a re-submission....You would be surprised (or maybe not) at what goes on behind the scenes in many businesses.
