A thriftier investor would go for the VW Golf - it's the same chassis and drivetrain under the pricier A3's body/interior.
I'm hoping my investments will lead to an earlier retirement than my peers, or at least an earlier transition for my partner and I to work part time. A kit plane would also keep me busy in the shed...
