I have refrained so far from making any comments about the shorting activity on Mesoblast.
No need to refrain, we need this kind of reality check, and on a regular basis. Because the short ladder attacks are relentless.
It's not a competition in HC for who can make the most interesting, erudite posts.
In fact I'd argue there is no virtue in that kind of restraint.
Why? Out of a need for fairness we need to counter the attacks and they have the most effect on the least well informed holders, who are not likely to be regular posters on HC.
Regal are nasty in their tactics IMO. I note they have the disgraced Charlie Aitken on their team.
He managed to blow up his broker partnership with his own best friend, by racing off with his friend's wife, who happened to be the best friend of his own wife. It was too much even for a comparatively racy Sydney society. Aitken used to be on TV all the time, speaking with authority on the market. Now he's at Regal, in a Director role in client liaison services.
I'm not usually a moralist, on personal issues but the circumstances say a lot about his judgement and loyalty and it's way off. It's the kind of behaviour you'd expect from teenagers. IMO.
