Life is never black & white and statistics is the same. The vaccines will be very effective, moderately effective or ineffective in different people. This is the case for a whole range of reasons, but I will comment on the one that I have experience in. If someone is immunocompromised, because, for example, they are undertaking chemotherapy. they will definitely get vaccinated, as they are at greater risk of suffering more severe symptoms and potential death from Covid (or influenza). In some cases, they don't develop the vaccine antibody and have little, if any 'protection' against the virus. So, they have greater chance of contracting it, greater chance of dying from it and they would show up in the statistics as vaccinated. How many, NFI, but I do know that you can't accurately draw the conclusion that the vaccines don't work, from the statistics issued.
