A smarter less ego driven scientist perhaps, would have handed the reins as CEO over to somebody with more successful history with the FDA.
Hindsight is a wonderful thing and if Si had got this passed earlier without complying to the FDA's directions then we wouldn't be having this discussion.
However the lion growled at the tamer and got hosed down, and now he is still waiting his turn, to do as originally asked, and get his applause.
Some are saying get a new lion that is easier to tame.
He will still be a lion.
