Lately there has been a lot in the news about combustible building cladding again - this is a huge growing market where expanded graphite as a fire retardant is needed.

Logistically transporting expanded graphite from Madagascar is a concern though - imo we’d probably be looking elsewhere for this process to be done.
Not to mention availability/costs of procurement of large amounts of acids required for the processing.
All imo.
