I should clarify. I view this news as bad news on a short / medium term basis. I appreciate that long term this floor may be a good thing.
Negative:
The Batou plant shutting down for six months crystalises exactly how bad the demand situation is. There were too many assumptions involved before about whether it was recovering etc. Now we know. It isn't.
The LYC share price isn't going anywhere quickly in the short to medium term. There isn't going to be rockets.
Comparatively, I think the index will outperform LYC for the next two years.
