The Company's portfolio of projects was compiled largely from the expertise of its major shareholder, Barminco Pty Ltd, one of Australia’s largest underground mining contractors.

In late 2007, Barra believed to have made one of the most spectacular gold discoveries in Australian resources history, hitting an intersection yielding a very high 10,300 grams of gold per tonne,^[3] at 350 metres below surface, in a vicinity where no drilling had been carried out before.

This was at Burbanks, where Barra is now receiving a $25oz royalty from Kidman resources who are target 20,000-25,000oz in their first year of production.

Ramelius resources still owns a production facility at Burbanks.
