The Garden Creek project was considered highly prospective in the '69 -71 nickel boom. High grade gossans did not translate at depth with a limited drill program. However experienced geological consultant Hector Ward and his team commented that narrow nickel sulphide ore bodies at depth could not be precluded given the size of the gossans and the difficulty in positioning the rig.
I knew Hector Ward - one of the best -and a geologist I employed early 70's Dr Brian Saunders supervised the drill program.
Given TKM now have hit upon very high grade gold in the same area and we have historical copper -up to 5% Cu over 1.5 metres and Ni and other base metals Garden Creek has all the hallmarks of a very exciting exploration target.
