In the animated discussion on Aim today ,I'm not sure if this potential "plus" has been recently raised--apologies if is has , and and I hope I've got it right .
Without specifically re-visiting the announcement and recounting exact details , I recall the deal done with Barclays Capital towards the end of last year to supervise/ complete the financing arrangements once the BFS was completed , was that Barclays fees were to be paid almost entirely with approx 16 .5 mill Aim share warrants .
10 mill of these share warrants were payable at a strike price of 2.5p and they would be currently in the money , but there are performance hurdles for the balance of 6.5 mill share warrants split 2p and 4p above the strike price of 2.5p.
Barclays will likely progressively off load these first 10 mill to partially lock in their fee , but I would have thought there is some optimism to think that Barclays will be working pretty hard to maximise a good deal for Aim and themselves to ensure (1) their first 10 mill are sold at maximum fair market value and (2) they can exercise the call on tha additional warrants by reaching the hurdle prices .
As posted yesterday , I would expect Aim Directors and paid advisors to be working pretty hard during January and February to convince the market that they have a very viable project.
