My wife found a lump in her breast. Ultrasound and MRI were suggestive of breast cancer and the biopsy confirmed her diagnosis. A mammogram performed at the same time was normal. Especially for women < 50 years a mammogram is a poor screening test.
This is the market for early diagnosis. My wife found her cancer early and after treatment has been successful and survival looks good. The goal here is early detection.
