Hi All

Osiris is another company asked to submit a proposal to BARDA.
They have a novel application "Grafix" that delivers various essentials to a wound site. Not sure whether the matrix that is used is bio-resorbable. If not then the Polynovo BTM could be of use to them.

The purpose of the post is to show the process that leads to a BARDA application which is outlined in the first paragraph of the link

"The company's Biosurgery product, Grafix®, was the focus of a submission to BARDA in early March. BARDA carefully reviewed white papers it received in response to the BAA in order to select definitive care products acceptable for submission of a full proposal."

Polynovo also submitted its`papers in response to the Broad Agency Announcement(BAA) and has since been invited to submit a detailed proposal. The point I am trying to make is that the first hurdle has been jumped in that the polynovo concept was interesting enough to receive an invitation to submit a detailed proposal. This should improve the chance of getting a contract.

More than contract may be issued so it doesn`t seem to be a "us or them" situation. The system is terrific for medical science and provides often hard to get funding for innovative technology. So hats off to the US government for the forsight.
