Fair comments, but the last update pledged a significant pay-down of the remaining debt and their bankers seemed very comfortable with the ability to fund it through earnings, as they extended their terms in a climate that is still ultra-cautious. Also, some big buys took out the sellers you mentioned. Someone clearly sees advantage here. And those earnings are pretty phenomenal for a company of this market cap. With average daily production in excess of 1,000 BOPD and 65 MCF of gas, Amadeus is trading on a very low P/E relative to its sector peers - 2.5 compared to a sector average around 15.
The key difference, in my view, is that Amadeus doesn't trumpet its earnings and discoveries the way some juniors do. They are probably too low-key fo their own good. In the long run, I'm hoping that the figures will prove inarguable.
