That is a fair call Mike.
Falling house prices are a factor in Australia, and there will be rising defaults.
But....this is not the US.....Oz banks have tightened lending requirements considerably over the recent years.....and home owners will even resort to stopping shopping so that they can hold onto their houses, as evidenced by the retail figures.
Rising interest rates may well mute bank profits, but I don't buy the housing crash scenario.
