I think so - think outside of your square - some have made far greater wealth by cashing out of BHP in the beginning of the year by investing in higher risk. Divvies I do not believe in anymore - I have done my figures.
Be conservative and compound by all means but arrogantly attacking others in this type of fashion makes you look dismal. Passive investing is lovely but really belongs to your end of year tax statement. I think most know it.
