Canavan and Taylor hinder the appeal of the Coalition to moderates among the voters. In fact, they are cankers that are eating away the appeal that might otherwise be there. This re-appointment will give them more internal thrust. I think that this could be the death knell for the Coalition's chances in the next election. Their best hope is a negative one, the lack of appeal of the ALP which is wrought by climate policy division.
