If you can't answer the question then fair enough. Just say you aren't up to it or simply ignore it.
That's the problem with much of the debate around this subject. People just run away from it or make up accusations about what the other side has said or meant.
It would be great if people could just stay on one tangent and answer a question as it is asked rather than try to turn it into something else.
